Water-bus. For example, the Alilaguna company offers to go to downtown Venice from Marco Polo airport. The water taxi runs all day. The journey is, however, longer than by road: it takes about 1h30.

Shared water taxi. Here is an example of a shared water taxi: shared boat transfer. The boat is smaller (fewer people, less waiting, therefore faster), and cheaper than a private boat transfer. Travel time is about 40 minutes.
